I came onto L.A.’s music scene as lead and rhythm guitarist for the Maestro of Love, Barry White.   At the time he was touring the U.S. and abroad with his hot CD release “The Icon is Love.”  He was celebrating his huge hit single “Practice What You Preach” and also his previous hit with El DeBarge entitled “Secret Garden.”

I became a seasoned veteran with the 2000 double Grammy winning artist and his Love Unlimited Orchestra, touring and doing television and radio shows like Ally McBeal, Arby’s commercials, and many other spots.

While continuing my work with Mr. White I also had the opportunity to work with some of the hottest Platinum, Double Platinum, and Grammy winning artists and producers in Pop and Urban music.  Jon B, Mya, and Tevin Campbell, just to name a few.

After an extensive run with Pop/Urban/R&B music, I discovered smooth Jazz!  I was fortunate enough to fit in with artists like Rick Braun and Gerald Albright.  I have since developed a love affair and passion for this genre.

From House of Blues clubs nationwide to stadiums around the world, Essence Festivals to Summer Jams, Lillith Fairs to Cool Downs, and Jazz festivals far and wide.  I’ve loved it all!!!

In 1997 I co-wrote the first single released on the then new J-Town (Malaco) record label.  The CD went to #35 on Billboard’s R&B chart. Since then I’ve gone on to write and produce with artists such as Jon B and Dr. Smith.

Prior to my move to Los Angeles I lived and worked in Japan and in the U.S. as musical director with Japan based superstars “Fire and Desire,” along with Island Records recording artist “Mysti” of Deja who was famous for numerous R&B hits in the U.S. and abroad.

My work also extends to musical theatre as well as plays directed by the great Jerry Jones and Sol Survivor.  On the other side of the turntable I spent some years in broadcasting as the morning drive D. J. with KTSU jazz radio station in Houston, Texas.  I’ve also done film work through various agencies in Los Angeles.  Presently, I am working with various artists in the smooth Jazz and R&B genre.  In between time I’m writing and producing on my own project.
